Good Practices Lead To Good Game

Westminster's Second Boys' Lacrosse put their very good Monday and Tuesday practices to good use as they "got their value back" in a well deserved 8 -3 win over the Berkshire JV Bears. The Martlets dominated ground balls 46- 19, but just out shot Berkshire 24 -23, while game ball winner Goalie Christian Coquoz '12 outsaved Berkshire 12 - 10. Newly elected captains Coquoz, Angel Guerrero '12, and Drew Poling '13 got the team ready as evident by its 3 - 0 start. The Second Boys' led 3 - 1 at the quarter, 6 - 1 at the half, 7 - 2 at three-quarters, before icing the game at 8 - 3. Ryan Seymour l'14 ed the Martlets with four points (2G, 2 A) which included a Lacrosse Summus goal with 2 seconds left in the third. Other scorers were Gavin Durham '13 (2 G), Sam Pope '12 (2 G), Lorin Tobey '15 (1 G, 1 A), Austen Tibbetts '15 (2 A), Preston Miller '13 (1 G), Poling (1 A), and Austin Pope '14 (1 A). Special recognition goes to Avery Leveston '15 (very good LSM wing play), Drew Simeon '15 (first time GBs), and  Poling (great FOs), in addition to Durham, Miller, S Pope, Seymour, Tibbetts, and Tobey. A real nice Grit & Grace win.
