Martlets Defeat Tigers In Opener

Snow pushed Westminster's "home" opener to Suffield Academy and the Martlets shook out some early cobwebs, thanks to very stingy defense, and earned a nice first win.  Gordon Santry '12 and Miller Stenle '12 combined for 12 saves and Dillon Tiner '12 (game ball) led his teammates at both ends of the field.  Tim Lyons '12, Alec Dunn '13, Will Gould '12, and Cory Latour '12 helped keep Williston's shooters in low percentage areas, and Andy Dines '12, Sam Dardani '14, Greg Pietroforte '12, Gardner Imhoff '13, and Ryan Cholnoky '12 kept the ball moving in the offensive end, and Will Stevens '12 had a great game between RLs.  Westminster will go right back to that field on Wednesday to play Suffield.
