Martlets Challenge But Lions Fight Back

The Martlets were at home on the Hill to take on the Lions of Kent. After the ball was tipped and the game was on, Kent got out to an early lead 18 - 8. Westminster battled back with aggressive defense and timely shooting to tie the game at 18-18. The Lions withstood the charge then extended the lead to 30 - 18 into the half. The Martlets continued to compete, but Kent with a deep team, was able to answer every time. There was plenty of grit on display at this game. Though the effort was not in victory, it was not in vain. The final score was 64 - 40. Three Martlets were in double figures, Greg Miller '10 and Rafi Rojas '10 with 10 points and Matt Wilson '11 with 11.
