Martlets Cannot Recover From Early Deficit

The ride to Millbrook was long and the Martlets were ready to take the floor, but so were the Mustangs. In the first three minutes the Martlets turned the ball over five times which allowed Millbrook to pull out to an 11-5 lead. Their half court zone led to 12 turnovers and a dominant lead by the intermission. After the break, Westminster dug in and started playing better. Greg Miller '10 had his strongest effort for the season with 26 points. Unfortunately, this was not enough to carry the game. In this league you can't spot a big lead and try to come back. The final was 50-66. Considerable mention goes to Sean Kelley '10 who played tough defense and Alex Tomashoff '13 who rebounded well, finishing with 10 boards and 9 points.
