Martlets Almost Catch Pelicans

With a toss of the ball the game against Loomis began, and the Martlets were off to a good start. The score was back and forth for the first few minutes. Westminster was paced by Matt Wilson '11 with 11 points in the first half. Loomis pulled away by halftime with an 11 point lead. This is when the Martlets made a move. The team cut the lead to 8, when Wilson left the game with an injury. The Martlets continued to compete and closed the gap to 1 with 2:30 remaining on the clock. The game ended with Loomis Chaffee edging out the Martlets with a final of 34 to 40. This team did not quit and are positioned for better things ahead.
