Knights Pull Away From Martlets

Westminster Boys' Thirds Hockey fell to 1-2 on the season with a 3-1 loss to Salisbury.  Westminster came out strong in the first period and battled hard against a physical Knights squad.  Ryan Hallisey ‘10 netted the first goal of the game at 6:15 of the first period as he put back his own rebound.  That would be the Black and Gold’s only goal of the game as Salisbury scored two unanswered goals in the second and deposited the insurance empty net goal in the final minute of the third period.  Sam Pope ‘12 and Emmet Shipway ‘12 proved to be a dynamic duo, killing off a number of Westminster penalties, while Tim Welles ‘11 and Will Stevens ‘12 provided both offensive support from the blue line core.  Westminster will look to rebound with a tune up this Wednesday against the Lazers (scrimmage) and then at Hotchkiss this Saturday.
