Rain Interrupts Resurgent Martlets

First Girls' Lacrosse traveled to Berkshire and got off the bus ready to play.  As the game started off, the team had trouble adjusting to Berkshire's zone and gritty play.  The Martlets left their sticks hanging a bit too far as they charged th eight on offense and did not take care of the ball that they worked hard to possess off the draw.  Westminster went down 5-1 fifteen minutes into the game.  However, instead of hanging their heads, the girls rallied as they have each game this season.  Kristen  Maxwell '10 made a couple of key saves, Alie Philip '09 had an assist to an offensive advance that resulted in a goal.  Bridget Eklund '11 was undaunted by anything on the field and took the ball down on her own and put the ball right in the back of the net.  Caroline Moran '09 and Caroline Scott '09 also put one in a piece.  The girls were really fired up and were just starting to hit their stride.  Unfortunately for both teams, weather intervened and with 6 minutes to go in the first half had to call it quits for the day with the score at 5-4.
