Martlets Pull Out The Win

It was a great day for the Martlets as they earned their first win of the season.  Pomfret came out strong after a close game with Choate and the Martlets shut them down upon arrival. Caroline Scott '09 scored the first goal of the game, followed by Emily Walsh '09. Caroline Moran '09 was quick on offense with 3 goals in the first half, bringing the Black and Goal to a 5-1 lead at the break.  Pomfret stepped it up in the second half with 3 goals in the first five minutes, but Westminster was able to hold on and win 12-8.  Moran finished with 5 goals and Scott with 3.  Great defense from Alie Philip '09 and Margaret Berry '11 was strong in goal with 5 saves.
