Second Field Hockey Finishes with a Win
Westminster played very well against Pomfret in their final game of the season. Sixth formers Lisa Cavazuti '08, Kelly Cheng '08, Courtney Kirsch '08, Daley O'Herron '08, Sarah Shanfield '08, and Kate Sullivan '08 led the team with quick ball movement and smart play. Whitney Fitzpatrick '09 scored the first goal on an assist by Jaime McComb '09. In the second half, the Martlets controlled the field and picked up the level of play. Emily Snoddon '10 and Izzie Wragg '09 played particularly well. Two additional goals by Julia Simons '09 solidified the victory and goalies Sarah Shanfield '08 and Tiff Liu '10 combined to earn the shutout. Overall, this was a strong end to a very successful season.
