Westminster Defeats Millbrook

The Westminster Softball (8-3) team won their fifth game in a row against Millbrook (4-6) today at home on a damp field. After giving up two runs in the first, The Martlets cam roaring back in the third and forth innings compiling 15 runs. The finished the tally with 2 more in the sixth inning. Kim Sirko ’07 and Marianne Specker ’08 each had 3 RBI.

Kate Philip ’06 was 4-5 with 2 RBI. Bethany Dymarczyk ’08 had 2 RBI and a home run and Avi Greene ’09 also had a home run. Waking up after the first inning, Westminster played good defense, only giving up 6 hits. Philip played well behind the plate and Corinne Werner ’09 was outstanding in left field.
