Martlets Mercy Rumsey

I was proud of our team, as they showed a lot of grit in the early innings putting together several quality at-bats, running the bases aggressively, and overcoming a couple of errors defensively. Then they showed much grace during the game, one they were in control of from the first inning. Tyler Beaudoin '28 and Adam Heffer '29 combined on the mound for the shutout.victory, striking out six and walking only one batter. Westminster scored six, four, and eight runs respectively in their three innings of at-bats. Paul Coccaro '28, Michael Rossi '26, Tyler Beaudoin, Massimo Guarnieri '26, Will Derbyshire '26, and Matteo Di Marzo '26 all collected hits for the Martlets. Guarnieri led the team with two RBI, as Westy took advantage of 14 free passes and many wild pitches to advance runners and score runs. Westminster is back in action at Loomis Chaffee on Saturday; first pitch is scheduled for 2:00 pm.
