Martlets Play to a Tie with Salisbury

Westminster JV Boys Lacrosse made the trip to the northwest corner of the Nutmeg State to face off against Salisbury. The Martlets started the game strong by controlling possession in the attacking end for most of the first half. Matthew Gregorski '27 and Conrad Kwait '27 continued their hot streak by finding the cage for the Martlets. Andrew Doering '29 and Ty Lambert '26 helped the Martlets by winning crucial faceoffs and generating fast break opportunities. The boys battled through the entire game, including an overtime period. The Martlet defense had yet another stellar performance, allowing only 3 total goals.  Henry Baird 26’ and Jack Perkins 28’ consistently won their match ups and eliminated the possibility of dodges and cuts from the Salisbury attack. The back-and-forth battle between the two storied JV lacrosse programs came to a stalemate at the end of overtime, resulting in a 3-3 tie. The boys are looking forward to another road trip to face Trinity-Pawling this Saturday at 3:00 PM.
