Martlets Fall Short vs. Suffield

In a very well played contest, the Martlets fell just short against Suffield. However, it was a great softball game featuring two teams that made all the plays. Highlights for Westminster included the huge day Melody El-Amin '27 had at the plate. Her three hits included a two run homer in the first inning as well as a single which plated two more runs in the fifth frame. Lily Shuster '27 also tripled and singled, and Gabby de la Fe '26 had two hits and an RBI. Kaitlyn Buda '27, Anna Hassett '27 and Natalie House '29 each had singles. In the field, Mya Polastry 27 and Shuster made sparkling catches. All three Westminster pitchers (House, Hassett, and Caitlyn Eaton '28) played well against a strong Suffield lineup. The Martlets next travel to Kent on Saturday.
