Martlets Battle Wyverns

What a way to close out the season for the Martlets at home on Senior Night! In a game celebrating our sixth formers, Piper Lundin and Esther Lee, the team gave everything they had on the court. With a full house of energized fans cheering them on, the Martlets made an unforgettable comeback in the second half.
At halftime, the score stood at 9-18, but the Martlets found their rhythm in the third quarter, pushing the Wyverns and showing they weren’t going down without a fight. It was the highest-scoring game of the season for the Martlets, and their offense game finally clicked on the court. They were attacking the basket, securing rebounds, making smart passes, and moving the ball selflessly. Defensively, the team was relentless, forcing turnovers, stealing the ball, and charging the basket. Sixth-formers Piper Lundin and Esther Lee each contributed six points, Arielle Anderson had the standout performance of her season with five points, and Natalie House led the team with nine. Charlotte Lundin shined with numerous rebounds and seven points, proving she was at her peak. It was a tough loss, but a season highlight, showcasing the Martlets’ effort, skill, improvement, and teamwork.
