Martlets Take Down Winged Beavers at Home

The Avon Old Farms game is always intense to say the least.  Tonight, the boys started off a little slow in front of a packed crowd.  Avon Old Farms jumped to an early lead in the first several minutes of the game.  However, the Martlets found their groove and started to settle in.  Ethan Villacis ‘27 set the tone early with his exceptional defense and shot making ability.  Brendan Williams was amazing off the bench, he brought a ton of energy both ends of the court.  Sonny Batchelor ‘27 played a very sound game by attacking the rim and playing lock down defense.  The Martlets took a double digit lead into the half.  Captain Ethan Griffin ‘26 was dominant on the glass and also around the rim the entire game.  He ended the night with 21 points and 20 rebounds.  The Martlets controlled the second half.  Julien Wiggins ‘27 was stellar tonight, he added 33 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds.  The Martlets go into winter break on a high note.
