Martlets Defeat Pride
After a long ride on a cold Saturday afternoon, the Martlets warmed up quickly and came out ready to play. In the #6 spot, Crosby Cutler ‘27 was able to earn the teams first victory on the day 3-0. He played patient squash, featuring some great deep rails. Will Jones ‘28 also secured a 3-0 win in the #4 position to put the team up 2-0 early on. In the #2 spot, Stephen Xie ‘26 gained momentum with some excellent volleys and added another win for Westminster. Isaac Kwon pulled off a huge win after being down 2-0, proceeding to win the next three to pull out the sweep of the first round. Will Henry ‘26 and Connor Scollans ‘26 were able to secure 3-0 wins with excellent court movement and great shot placement to give us the 6-1 win. Hats off to a strong Trinity Pawling team, that had some players out of the line-up, for their strong efforts throughout the match. We look forward to heading up to play Deerfield on Wednesday after the snow subsides.
