Martlets Defeat Wild Boars

Westy came out with a lot of energy to get the game started against Choate.  The first few minutes were mostly even but Westy slightly had the edge due to home court advantage.  The defensive pressure was noticeable from the start.  Julien Wiggins ‘27 and Ethan Griffin ‘26 both set the tone early and dominated their matchups.  The Martlets went into the half up 9.  In the first several minutes of the second half the boys applied pressure on both ends.  Elliot Goldberg ‘28 hit a few shots to get the Martlets going.  Sonny Batchelor ‘27 had a strong second half, while adding in big time shots and finishes above the rim.  As always, Ethan Hernandez ‘27 played stellar defense and he facilitated the ball well to his teammates.  In the last few minutes of the game, the reserves Connor Gray ‘26 scored his first official varsity bucket.  Ethan Hernandez ‘27 also added a three late. This was an impressive team win against a strong ball club. The Martlets host Canterbury on Friday night.
