Martlets Open New Year with Win

The trip down I-95 was successful for the Martlets.  The Martlets didn’t get off to the best start, we quickly trailed 8-0. After we settled in, the guys turned things up a notch.  We went on our own 8-0 to even the game early in the first half.  Eventually, the Martlets took an 8 point lead into the half.  Things got intense in the second half because GFA went on a few mini runs to cut the lead.  Elliot Goldberg '28 had his best game as a Martlet, he had 17 points and 5 steals, while adding 5 three point makes.  He ended up hitting the game sealing three points in the closing seconds of the game.  In the closing minutes of the game Julien Wiggins '27 led the troops with 28 points, while scoring timely baskets in crunch time.  Ethan Griffin '26 ed the team with 5 blocks, 14 points, and 11 rebounds.  Ethan Villacis '27 was stellar on the defensive end all game. The team showed grit and pulled out the win against a competitive FAA team.
