Martlets Fall to K-O at KIT Tournament

On the third day of the KIT holiday tournament the guys battled a seasoned Kingswood ball club.  In the first several minutes the game was mostly even but then KO wore us down with their depth.  Captain Ethan Griffin ‘26 had another double-double 13 points and 16 rebounds.  However, that wasn’t enough against the pressure of KO throughout the game.  Ethan Villacis ‘27 had a breakout game for the Martlets, he ended with 10 points, 3 assists, and 2 steals including 3 three pointers on the day.  At the half, the Martlets were down 35-28.  In the second half, KO turned up the heat on defense and they stretched out their lead. Sonny Batchelor ‘27 chipped in with 14 points after scoring a few buckets late.  In the closing minutes, KO ran away with the game.  The Martlets came in fourth place of the KIT tournament.  Ethan Griffin and Julien Wiggins ‘27 made the All-KIT tournament teams.  The Martlets are looking to bounce back in the year against a solid Green Farms ball club!
