Third Boys’ Hockey Battles SHS JV to a 3-3 Tie

For the second time in as many weeks, Third Boys’ Hockey squared off against the junior varsity team from Simsbury High School. This time the Martlets ventured north on Route 10 to the International Skating Center of Connecticut. Despite the long trek, the team was ready to play from the drop of the puck. Ryan Jainchill '23 got the scoring started just three minutes into the game. Westminster continued to generate quality scoring opportunities. However, a 1-1 tie at the end of one period was all they had to show for it. The teams traded goals in the second period. About half way through the third period, Jainchill scored his second of the game, allowing the Martlets to reclaim the lead, 3-2. Just a few minutes later, Simsbury scored to tie the game one final time. Tonight's tilt was quite the back and forth affair. A final score of 3-3 brings the Martlets' record this week to 1-0-1 with one game still to play.
