Excellent Team Effort in Win During Alumni Weekend
Callista Adorno '22 and Bethany Winters '20 combined to allow just three Pomfret singles during a 14-1 victory in front of large Alumni Weekend crowd. Meg Cournoyer '19 had a great day at the plate with multiple hits and five RBIs. Gabby Nemarich ’20 added three singles and drove in three runs, while Mandy Busky '21, Hailey Tullo '22 and Adorno had two hits apiece. Allison Kijanka '20 contributed a run scoring single and played well in left field. Abby Davis '20 fielded her position well, and infielders Busky, Nemarich, Tullo and Winters were sharp throughout the afternoon. Cournoyer caught a strong game for the Martlets. The next contest will be at Williston Northampton on Monday.
