Strong Effort Results in Fourth Consecutive Win

Callista Adorno '22 pitched a gem against Loomis Chaffee, striking out 13 batters and allowing just three base hits. Adorno also sparked the offense by driving a ball over the right field fence for a three-run homer. Bethany Winters '20 had three singles and played extremely well at second base. Abby Munger '20, Gabby Nemarich '20 and Alayna Tawney '19 had two hits apiece for the Martlets. Mandy Busky '21 and Hailey Tullo '22 each had a single and were also strong in the field. The contest was a tight 4-0 game until Adorno's three-run blast in the fifth inning. The Westminster bats then came alive as the Martlets scored five runs during the last two frames to win 13-0.
