Westminster Sloshes to Victory

Heading to Eaglebrook for one of their wettest games of the season, the Martlets of Seconds Lacrosse took the first half by storm. Dishing up a shutout first and second quarter and taking six points for themselves (including a crease-bound Canadian quick stick by Third Form promise Nate Stevens), the boys held firm on defense with little regard to an unexpectedly short bench. Despite entering the second half man-down for two minutes, the Martlets wasted no time taking a seventh goal for their own before the boys of Eaglebrook managed their first. As the rain’s intensity increased, so did the boys’ level of play. Westminster finished proudly at 11-4, showing a spirit not extinguished by the rains that the team will carry to the final game of the season on Wednesday against Hotchkiss.
