Martlets Tie Hoggers

Despite the unexpected rain, the Martlets put up a great showing for their first game of the season. The defense did a great job supporting Mimi Salman ‘26, who made her goal-tending debut and was impressive in net. Led by Captain Caroline Breslav ‘26, the defense kept the Martlets in the game, despite trailing early. Piper Lundin ‘26 and Bella Zapata ‘27 excelled at the draw and each tallied one goal. Caroline Callen ‘26, Chase Carter ‘26, Lake Carter ‘28, and Lylah Leigner ‘29 scored one goal each over the course of the game, resulting in a 6-6 tie. Overall, this was a spirited first match that demonstrated great sportsmanship and teamwork.
