Martlets Fall to Kent

Saturday afternoon, the Martlets hosted Kent School for the only home game on campus! In an exciting match against a talented team, the Martlets improved their serve-receives after the first set. Although the ball did make its way to the ceiling quite a few times, the team was able to recover and set up a few plays. Ella Hammel ‘28 successfully tipped the ball quite a few times, fully taking advantage of being a front-row setter. Sophia Wen ‘29, Kaitlyn Buda ‘27, and Sloane Finnegan ‘28 were consistently strong servers for the team. Nandini Panigrahi ‘27 and Sanah Chhabra ‘28 made some great digs in the back row to keep the ball in play. Arielle Anderson ‘28 placed successful blocks and hits to help the Martlets win the third set. Congratulations to our Martlets for winning their first set of the year in our inaugural season of Varsity Volleyball!

Our Grit and Grace Award goes to Macey Sheehan ‘27 for keeping the energy high both on and off the court, and stepping right in to hit both in the middle and outside.
