Martlets Fall to #1 Salisbury

Your Martlets hosted Salisbury yesterday, the #1 team in the country. Not deterred, your Martlets came out with intensity and played hard for the entire game. Salisbury capitalized on several early mistakes and the Martlets found themselves down 5-1 after Q1. Q2 was improved for the Martlets as they looked to bounce back. They played a very good quarter holding the Salisbury depth and firepower to 2 goals and they entered halftime down 7-2. Q3 would prove to be the difference maker as Salisbury exploded for 7 goals to the Martlets 2. Energy was high going into the final quarter and your Martlets fought hard until the final whistle.
