Martlets Fall to Bearcats

Westminster traveled to Hotchkiss to face a team still riding high after a 3–1 win over nationally ranked Loomis just days earlier. The Martlets rose to the challenge, playing with confidence and intent from the start. After being the aggressor for much of the match, Westy earned a well-deserved lead with 38 minutes remaining.
What followed was perhaps our most complete performance of the season—disciplined, connected, and full of fight. Unfortunately, the result tilted toward the home side after they converted a penalty and found the back post for a header late in the match.
While the score line was disappointing, the grit, character, and commitment from this group were not. We are incredibly proud of how this team continues to push forward and compete with heart every time they step on the field.
