General Summary
The Westminster School Health Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to work on-call Friday nights and weekends on a rotational basis in our CT state-licensed infirmary. Reporting to the Clinical Director of the Health Center, this is a per diem position, working during the academic year (September through May). The on-call hours for this position are every Friday from 11pm-7am and every 4th weekend from 1pm Saturday through 7am Monday. The qualified candidate would be responsible for phone triage and potential overnight stay for patient care.
 
Job Qualifications
  • CT Licensure required with at least 1-2 years of experience. Experience in pediatrics/adolescence preferred.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Suite. Overall comfort with technology required.
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills required.
  • Ability to respond to high-stress situations in a calm and efficient manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including sensitivity to and experience working with people of diverse backgrounds, experiences, and abilities.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be extremely reliable and flexible.
  • Must be First Aid/AED/CPR certified.
  • Current driver’s license with clean driving record required.
  • Ideal candidate resides within a 30-minute drive to campus to accommodate on-call hours.
