    Bio
     
    Heather completed a bachelor’s in English literature and government at Smith College in 2000, where she was president of the Smith College Debate Society. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2003, the same year she was admitted to practice in Connecticut.
     
    Before coming to Westminster, where she will teach English, she was a college adviser at the New England Jewish Academy, where she was also an English teacher.

    Bio
     
    Sandy has a passion for the Spanish language and when teaching her students and/or leading her colleagues. Following a career in finance as a lead staff accountant, senior staff accountant and payroll administrator for various corporations, she became a Spanish teacher. She has taught at the Farmington Valley Academy Montessori, The Ethel Walker School and The Master’s School. She also has tutored students and trained teachers, is a member of the Connecticut Council of Language Teachers, is an adjunct professor of the University of Connecticut and is an American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages Mentor for new Spanish teachers around the United States.
     
    Sandy has trained as a faculty advisor for the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), is a member of Westminster’s Diversity Committee and participated in various NAIS People of Color Conference. She is a faculty advisor for student affinity and alliance groups, and has coached soccer and squash.

    Bio
     
    Mamadou Pouye is a French teacher from Senegal, West Africa. He graduated from Universite Cheikh Anta Diop of Dakar (Senegal) with a master’s degree and holds the postgraduate degree of Diplome d'Etudes Approfondies (DEA). After his graduation he went to Ecole Eormale Superieure de Dakar for a two-year teacher training course. He was selected in the Fulbright program after teaching for one year to study at Northern Arizona University. He has taught extensively in Senegalese public and private schools. Mamadou Pouye holds a fourth-degree black belt in Taekwondo and a brown belt in Shotokan Karate. He also plays the African drums.

    Bio
     
    David is no stranger to Westminster, where he completed a postgraduate year in 2004-2005 and played on the first football, basketball and lacrosse teams. He won the most valuable player award in both football and basketball, and made All-League for football and player of the year in basketball. When he was a student at Wilbur Cross High School in New Haven, Conn., prior to Westminster, he was named captain of the varsity football and basketball teams, and made All-League in football and All-State in basketball. David was recently inducted into the Wilbur Cross Hall of Fame for both basketball and football.
     
    David currently works in Admissions, and serves as a head coach of Varsity Boys’ Basketball and coaches Third Boys’ Soccer.  David finds joy in traveling for admissions to help find the right candidates for Westminster.  He especially enjoys attending professional development conferences including the NAIS People of Color Conference, the NAIS Student Diversity Leadership Conference and the CAIS Student Diversity Leadership Institute.
     
    A graduate of Stonehill College, where he majored in health care administration and was an All-League wide receiver in football, David also attended Tennessee State University, where he played football on a full scholarship after graduating from Westminster.  David has worked at various sports camps along with volunteering in his community in New Haven, Conn.
     
    In his free time, David likes to play basketball, listen to music, work out, travel, recruit for basketball, and spend time with family and friends. Over the summer, he does basketball training with high school athletes. He lives on campus with his wife, Stacy, and their daughter, Kacy.
