    Kerry brings experience as an artist and art educator to her responsibilities teaching art at Westminster. She previously taught art for five years at Eaglebrook School, where she maintained a working studio on campus, served as a dormitory parent, coached, taught yoga, created the yearbook, and organized and led camping and hiking trips for students. Before that, she was an artist-in-residence at Eaglebrook and a mural artist at the Brick House Community Resource Center in Turner Falls, Mass. She has studied yoga; written, directed and co-produced an independent digital movie; served as a museum aide and general manager of a gallery; owned a gallery; and directed and produced plays at a summer youth theater program. 

    Kerry and her husband, Paul, who is an English teacher and form dean at Westminster, live in a faculty home with their children, Avalon and Malakai. Kerry enjoys creative endeavors with people of all ages. Her interests include being a mom, gardening, traveling, hiking, camping, swimming, doing yoga and being immersed in nature while painting.

    Bio
     
    Prior to his appointment at Westminster, Paul served on the faculty at Eaglebrook School, where he taught English, was a dormitory parent and student advisor, and also coached water polo, ice hockey and lacrosse. Paul is a form dean, he teaches English and coaches Varsity Boys’ Water Polo.
     
    Paul is a graduate of Hotchkiss School, where he played water polo, ice hockey and lacrosse. At the University of Colorado, Boulder, he earned his undergraduate degree in English literature and was a member of the university’s ice hockey team. He earned his Master of Arts at Middlebury College’s Bread Loaf School of English.

    Originally from Vail, Colorado, Paul is an avid mountain biker and skier, and spends his free time exploring the outdoors. He can also be found reading in front of a fire, playing hockey or working in the garden with his family. Both Paul and his wife, Kerry, an artist, Westminster art teacher and yoga instructor, enjoy visiting family and exploring off the beaten path. Paul and Kerry live in a campus home with their children, Avalon and Malakai.

    Bio
     
    Prior to his appointment at Westminster, Jeff served seven years at North Cross School in Roanoke, Va. During his time as marketing director, he was responsible for overall marketing and communications efforts including advertising, branding, publications, social media and the website. Previous positions at the school included teaching graphic design and digital art classes for grades 8-12.

    Jeff was the principal at Kennard Creative for 23 years and has served as the creative director for The Wallace Agency and John Lambert Associates, all in Roanoke. Other experience has included serving as an art director with Katie Wallace Design and Rapp Collins Worldwide and as a graphic designer for the Houston Chronicle. In addition, he has been an adjunct design instructor at Virginia Western Community College, Radford University and Roanoke College.

    Jeff and his wife, Hilary, live in Simsbury. Their son, Elliott ’19, is a recent graduate of Lewis & Clark College. Their daughter, Julia, is a graduate of Trinity College and works at Berkshire School in Sheffield, Mass. Jeff’s interests include running, cycling and hiking. An Eagle Scout, Jeff is also an assistant scoutmaster with Troop 25 in Manchester, Conn.

    Jay is in his 11th year at Westminster following two years at Pomfret School, where he served as assistant director of admissions and athletic liaison. He also served as a dormitory parent and an advisor, and coached varsity soccer, hockey and lacrosse. Prior to that, he taught history for seven years at Hebron Academy where he was a dorm parent, advisor and head coach of the boys’ varsity lacrosse and soccer teams and the girls’ varsity hockey team. At Westminster he is an associate director of admissions and coaches soccer and hockey.
     
    As an undergraduate student at Salve Regina, Jay played varsity soccer, hockey and lacrosse and was named recipient in 2003 of the Brother Michael Reynolds Award as the school’s leading contributor in athletics, academics and the community. Over the years, he has also coached and evaluated players at numerous elite soccer, hockey and lacrosse camps.
     
    Jay and his wife, Jess, live in a faculty home with their sons, Francis and Patrick, and their dogs, Rooney and Dottie. They like to travel to their favorite town, Newport, R.I., as much as they can. Jay also enjoys spending time with his dad riding their Harleys together.

    Bio
     
    Jessica returned to Westminster in the fall of 2012 following one year at the Pomfret School, where she was a history teacher, advisor and dormitory parent, and coached field hockey, ice hockey and lacrosse. Previously, she served at Westminster from 2008-2011 as associate director of admissions and the dormitory head in Cushing Hall.
     
    Prior to that, she was a teacher of world history and contemporary American politics at Hebron Academy for two years. While there, she created an independent study course for AP government and a school newspaper, for which she served as faculty advisor. She also coached field hockey, hockey and lacrosse, and was a dormitory supervisor.
     
    Jessica is a graduate of Tabor Academy, where she captained the field hockey, hockey and lacrosse teams. At Trinity College, she completed a legislative internship program at the Connecticut state capitol and was named a Long Walk Society Scholar. She also captained the field hockey and ice hockey teams.
     
    At Westminster, Jessica has coached field hockey, ice hockey and lacrosse. She was the Varsity Girls’ Ice Hockey coach from 2018-2022. Jessica was also the form dean for the Class of 2017 and the dean of faculty from 2020-2023. Currently, she serves as the associate head of school. In her free time, she enjoys relaxing with her husband, Jay, and playing ball with their dog, Dottie. They travel often to their favorite vacation town, Newport, and to stay at their vacation home in Scituate, Mass. Jessica and Jay, who serves as associate director of admissions, live in a faculty home, with their two sons, Francis and Patrick.

    Jenn travels across the country to connect with members of the Westminster community, meet with members of the Thring Society and talk to individuals who are interested in supporting the priorities of Westminster School. She has extensive experience in annual giving and advancement operations after spending 10 years in the Institutional Advancement Office at the University of Hartford. In January 2021, Jenn was appointed to the board of directors of the Charitable Gift Planners of Connecticut. In 2022, she became a certified specialist in planned giving and in 2023 she was awarded the Rising Star Award from the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners.

    Jenn attended Saint Mary-of-the Woods College, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in business and marketing, received the Alumnae Leadership and Service Medallion, and played varsity intercollegiate soccer. Her Master of Arts from the University of Hartford is in communication.

    Jenn lives in Canton, Conn., with her husband, Peter, and their children, Dylan, Sam and Avery. She enjoys cooking and taking care of her yard.

    Bio
     
    At Westminster, Samantha teaches English and coaches soccer and basketball. A Connecticut native, she has always been intrigued by all things related to the humanities. She earned her B.A. at the University of Connecticut, where she majored in history and minored in English. After graduation Samantha worked in an elementary classroom where she discovered her love for teaching. She went back to school to obtain her master’s in teaching and certification in both secondary English and history. She has spent the last five years teaching middle school language arts prior to teaching one year of high school history. When not in the classroom, Samantha enjoys everything basketball related. She coached the girls’ junior varsity team at Conard High School for the past six years. Additionally, she has been involved in youth sports coaching soccer, swimming and AAU basketball. She loves spending time outdoors hiking, camping and biking, reading, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
