Visit Westminster

Location

Westminster School is located in Simsbury, Connecticut approximately 12 miles north of Hartford. Our campus, on 200-forested acres, is situated atop Williams Hill overlooking the Farmington River and downtown Simsbury — a quintessential New England town. Bradley International Airport is a short 20-minute drive away. We are conveniently located halfway between New York City (120 miles) and Boston (110 miles).

Simsbury Among the Best in the U.S.
As recognized by Money magazine, Simsbury has “that special something that makes it a great place to live.” From a casual cup of coffee or slice of pizza with friends to a nice night out with parents, students enjoy spending time in town. A short distance from campus, it is not unusual to see students running, walking and biking around town on weekends. The centrality of Westminster’s location also means easy access for weekend outings to the movies, mall, hiking, restaurants, performing arts venues and more.

Spring & Summer Admissions Visits

We are thrilled to once again be able to offer opportunities for families to visit our campus starting Tuesday, May 18. Your visit may include a student-led tour of our campus, and opportunity to chat informally with a member of our Admissions team. For those unable to make it to campus, we will also continue to offer regular online information sessions with our admissions officers throughout the summer.

Campus visits and online information sessions will be offered Monday through Thursday throughout the spring and summer. To schedule, please call the Office of Admissions at (860) 408-3060 or email admit@westminster-school.org

If you happen to be in the area over a weekend or in the evening, you are welcome to drive around. The "Driving Tour" link on this page will provide access to an audio tour, a campus map and some general information.

Please note that while we are optimistic regarding a return to business as usual in the coming months, in-person visit opportunities may be more restricted in the fall depending on prevailing health conditions. Now is a great time to visit Westminster!
