Martlets stun Rhinos

Looking to recapture its form, Westminster was back on the ice against Taft on Jan. 10. It is always good to be back on home ice at this time of year. The Martlets came out of the gate firing on all cylinders and took it to the Rhinos from the first drop of the puck. Though the game remained scoreless after the first period, Westminster controlled the tempo and offensive chances. Alex Gadowski ‘18 played well in net, stopping 20 of 21 shots. Taft’s only goal came with 2:21 remaining in the third period. Taft’s goalkeeper stood tall in net stopping 42 of 46 shots. Ryan Doolin ‘18 and Will Gilson ‘20 each found the back of the net in the second and Iggy Belov ‘20 scored two goals in the third. Salisbury up next.
