Motivation
Saturday’s contest against Avon Old Farms proved to be a test of will. Hampered by reduced numbers, the boys had to dig deep to find the motivation to keep competing. However, the boys fought against a strong AOF team once the competition began. Unfortunately, the team was unable to pull out the victory, but they gave a consistent and determined effort all day. There were some bright spots that are worth mentioning. For the second week in a row, James O’Connell ‘25 led the distance team, winning two of his three events. Reggie Kanu ‘25 won the high jump and triple jump in the field. In addition, Benji Hanson continued winning by claiming a victory in the 400m. Next week, the team will travel to Berkshire to compete in a quad meet with Trinity-Pawling, Canterbury, and Berkshire.
