A Special Win

A special win for the Martlets as they played demonstrating the very meaning of Grit and Grace! Playing in honor of the Hill Holiday, our players found themselves being aggressively checked, tripped, and shot at. So many players were playing through pain: Peyton Eckert ’27 took a hard tumble but immediately sprung up and kept running; Abbey Cirelli ’27 scraped her knee and shin but kept on advancing with tears in her eyes; Morgan Curtis ’24 was adament on supporting the defense after stopping a ball with her fingers; Maddie Clark ’25 found herself almost running breathless but continued the spirit to lift up our team; Taylor Schuster ’24, already dealing with existing injuries, never complained and played through the game with attention, agility, and great leadership. Special recognition goes to Macey Sheehan ’27, who scored her first goal of the season, Pippa Jiranek ’26, who came to the defense’s aid and played with fierce energy, and Camilla Norton ’25, who stepped up and put herself in front of the ball. Bella Lilien ’27 also demonstrated herself to be a steady and reliable player who improves with each game, scoring two goals for us. Piper Lundin ’26 played her personal best game of this season, scoring a total of three points in a stressful situation.
