A Solid Game

The Martlets played a solid game against a gritty and physical Founders league opponent in Kent edging the Lions by 8 in a 14-6 win. Alex Musser ‘26 lead the Martlets in scoring six goals which ties her personal record of goals in a single game. Kate Epke ‘27 finished the day with three assists, two goals and a caused turnover.. Nora Rodger’s 24 scored two goals of her own and dished out one assist. Liza Merrill ‘25 finished the afternoon earning a hatrick. Merrill also earned 5 draw controls, four ground balls and caused two Lion turnovers. Merrill and Rodgers both earned the team's “Hustle Chains” for their leadership and effort throughout the competition. Margee Mahoney had one assist and five draw controls. Alex Musser also earned five draw controls. Parker Perillo ‘26 scored one goal for the Martlets. On the defensive end of the field,  Charlotte Radin made 11 saves and earned one ground ball in the cage. Taleah Leonard ‘26 caused a turnover,  and Margaret Dilks ‘24 earned two ground balls and caused two turnovers of her own. Tilly Lynch ‘25, Delia Lockwood ‘26,  Eva rodgers ‘25 and Schuyler Groves ‘26 all played great defense allowing no goals in the final quarter of the game.  The Martlets played as a team resulting in a great win  and look to take on another Founders league rival in the Taft Rhinos on Wednesday.
