The Season Begins
The Martlet boy golfers started their season with an away match at Suffield CC under cloudy skies, but solid course conditions. Although the team escaped with victories over both Suffield and W&M, most of the boys were rather disappointed with their individual play. This is a strong group of golfers and I am confident that there will be better rounds in the future. Will McCarthy ‘25 and Blake Burke ‘25 led the way with scores of 40 (+4), followed by Brody DiBeneditto ‘26 (41), Reed Ghriskey ‘26 (42), Julien Kocatas ‘26 (42), and Daniel Venture ‘24 (48). The team heads to Wyantenuck CC in Great Barrington, MA on Saturday to take on the Berkshire Bears, and hope to bring their “A game” to this challenging course.
