Westminster Faced Off Against a Talented Gator Team

Westminster traveled south to face off against a talented Gator team. The Gator controlled most ball possession for most of the game as they proved to be dominant on the draw circle. Margee Mahoney ‘24, Hadley Crowther ‘25, Liza Merrill ‘25 and Alex Musser ‘26 put forth a relentless effort on the draw circle resulting in winning 7 of the games draws. Charlotte Radin ‘25 started off the first quarter hot in the cage stopping consecutive shots and ended the day with 12 saves.  Kate Epke ‘27 dished off two assists to put the Martlets on the scoreboard assisting both Alex Musser ‘26 and Liza Merrill ‘25. Musser netted her second goal of the day off of a drive in the fourth quarter and Merrill scored her goal in the final minutes of the game. Tilly Lynch ‘25 and Lilly Vincent ‘25 both made a powerful impact on the defensive end for the Martlets. Lynch caused  two Gator turnovers and Vincent had two ground balls and a caused turnover herself.  The Martlets move forward as they look to host Pomfret on Saturday.
