Martlets Get a Road Win

The Martlets traveled to Windsor on a warm Monday afternoon in the middle of a solar eclipse and left with a victory. The ride over was interesting as the air got cooler and the skies darker. However, the Martlets remained focused and played well in multiple facets of the game. Max Williams '25 got the nod on the mound and struck out 8 over 5 innings. He surrendered only one run and was instrumental in the Westy win. At the plate, the team had good at bats early but could not find open space. Finally, in the 4th inning, Easton Masse legged out an infield single and tri-captain Evin Curtiss '24 cleared the bases with a HR to right-center. Westy would add another run on a botched pickoff play to take a 3-1 lead. Shaw Turton '25 singled in the 6th to add an insurance run for the birds and Easton Masse '25 recorded a 6 out save to finish it off. Overall a strong day for the black and gold and an important road victory. Kent is next.
