Martlets Finish Season with a Win

The gear was barely dry from Friday night when it was packed back up again and loaded on the Dattco for the 2 hour trek to Belmont Hill on Saturday afternoon. The Martlets were excited to spend their final day together and were grateful for one more opportunity to compete as a team. Coming into this game, Belmont Hill was firmly locked in the Large School tournament for post-season play but was still jostling for a home playoff seed. The Martlets had a great bounce-back game coming off a disappointing result at Deerfield. The Black and Gold played a great road game on Saturday afternoon. The boys competed hard for 54 minutes as a team and held off a late push by Belmont Hill to seal a great 4-3 road win in their final game. It is always hard when it ends but it's a bit easier when it ends with a great team win. We will miss our Sixth Formers dearly. They have all given so much to our program and our school during their time at Westminster. We will celebrate them once we return from spring break.
