Martlets Skate to a Tie with Bears

With reduced numbers, the Westminster skaters worked valiantly throughout a very balanced contest versus Berkshire. Scoring twice in the first period, it was apparent that a long bus ride did not impact the energy.of the Martlets. Abigail Graham ('27) netted both Westminster goals. Smart positioning, judicious passing, and tenacious forechecking gave the team an edge through the balance of a scoreless second period as well. Berkshire ramped things up in the third with more aggressive play at both ends. Despite a strong effort by several players in the Marlet defensive end, the Bears were able to find the net twice. It was an exciting and very well played game by both teams!
