Martlets Defeat Knights

Despite some good energy in our pre-game huddle, the Martlets struggled to translate it onto the court to start today’s game. We moved slowly on both ends of the floor and failed to convert on some good shot attempts. Despite the lackluster start, we built out a small lead until Salisbury evened the score with some nice looks in the paint. In need of a spark, we found it in Enoch Olaosebikan ‘27 who came off the bench and had an immediate impact on the game, elevating our defensive pressure, pushing the ball in transition, and fighting to secure extra possessions on the boards. The team fed off this energy and started to lock down our defense. As we have often found, our defense creates our offense, so we began finding more scoring opportunities and had a balanced attack with 10 different players recording points. Salisbury continued to fight, but a beautiful three point shot from Liam Hibbard ‘27 followed by strong push from Julien Kocatas ‘26, Cole Hadden ‘26, Jake Andreski ‘25, Arshaan Shah ‘26, and Enoch Olaosebikan ‘27 helped us pull away in the second half. We had to work hard to pull out today’s win – and we will look to finish our season on Saturday with 32 minutes of consistent energy, focus, and execution. Looking forward to the finale!
