Martlets Defeat Griffins

Westminster put another “W” in the win column with a 6-1 victory over visiting Pomfret. Maddie Clark ‘25 and Camilla Norton ‘25 looked particularly strong at the top of the ladder winning in three games. It took Clover Cooper ‘26 four games to solve her Griffin opponent, but she is learning to move the ball and use the full court to her advantage. Lucy Morton ‘26 made it look easy at #5 and Grace Kim ‘25 held on to win her third game 12-10 to win a close match in three. Lilly McMillen ‘27 also showed grit at #7 pulling out a 12-10 victory in the fourth and final game. Alex Musser ‘26 was the only Martlet to drop her match at #4 but it took five games and she showed a lot of grit. Luna Yang ‘26, Tarapi Pyo ‘24 and Caroline Callen ‘26 all won their exhibition matches. The Martlets have the weekend off before hosting Hotchkiss next week.
