Martlets Fall to LC

As soon as the whistle blew, Loomis Chaffee scored a basket. However, the Martlets were not discouraged and quickly scored their first basket as well. Not missing any free throws, Loomis got ahead once again. Despite the score, Westminster had possession of the ball for most of the game. The team played cohesively, looking for open spaces that allowed them to make strategic passes and get closer to the basket. The organization and strategy behind the Martlets’ every move was evident. Once again, Janet Kiburi ‘26 lived up to her teams’ name, scoring two three-pointers in a row. Jaelyn Kang ‘27 showed her ability at defense and accuracy at making passes. By the fourth quarter, the Martlets were behind by 20 points, however, Blessing Kieh’s ‘24 quick recoveries led to several baskets. The Splash Sisters played with grit and grace today and showed their growth as a team.
