Martlets Fall to Rumsey
The Girls JV Hockey team greeted the squad from Rumsey on the ice at Jackson Rink. A strong Rumsey team tallied 4 unanswered goals in the first period. After a regrouping of energy and focus, the Martlets came back to answer with a goal by Abigail Graham ('27) in the second period. Abigail found the net a second time in the third period as did Abby Cirelli ('27). It was a strong, hard-fought battle in the third period and the Martlets demonstrated energetic and balanced play at both ends. Unfortunately, Rumsey skaters found three more opportunities to score in the second and third periods. Tilly Lynch ('25) was valiant in the net and several Westy skaters took shots to the body to protect the Martlet nest.
