Martlets Fall to Rhinos

After a 30 minute postponement in tipoff due to a delayed opponent, the Martlets started today’s game a little flat. As we worked to pick up the tempo, we began finding some good shot opportunities, but for the second game in a row, we struggled to convert. Cole Hadden ’26 and Jeff Shao ’26 worked the interior of Taft’s zone and got many good looks, but Taft rebounded well and limited our ability to get additional shots up on our possessions. As the posts worked inside, our guards found some open looks from the perimeter, but only Aidan O’Callaghan ’26 and Connor Gray ’26 were able to convert on their open 3 point attempts. Despite our offensive challenges, we saw some solid effort on the defensive end of the floor, including gritty play from Nick Ramsumair ’27, Henry Flaton ’26, and Julien Kocatas ’26. As we prepare for a rematch with Avon Old Farms next week, we will look to improve our field goal percentage, which was the main difference in today’s lopsided result.
