Martlets Fall to Hotchkiss

Westminster hosted Founder’s League powerhouse Hotchkiss today. Hotchkiss has lost only to Taft in the league and sat five of their players for the match at Kohn Squash Pavilion. The Martlets showed their depth by winning a game at #5 (Mason Abbate ‘24), two games at #6 (Kai Appleton ‘24), and three games at #7 and #8 (Ben Swift ‘25 and Henry Naylor ‘25). Appleton and Abbate both claimed that they should have won, while Coach Doucette reminded them that should is a big word and could would fit better. The clear improvements in Abbate’s and Appleton’s games were on display. Swift now has wins against Andover and Hotchkiss.
