Martlets Tie Canterbury

The Martlets ended the day deadlocked with a very competitive Canterbury JV squad. Three matches went the distance, with the Saints winning all of them. Will Henry ‘26, Zach Li ‘27, and Brooks Berthiaume ‘27 each played well, and led their respective matches at one point, but ultimately succumbed in five games. Likewise, Mathias Seber ‘26, Chip Genung ‘25, and Daniel Frid ‘27 battled hard in defeat. Playing steady and consistent squash, Crosby Cutler ‘27 got Westminster on the board first with a decisive 3-0 victory. His counterpart, Harvey DeMovick ‘24, then followed suit by confidently sweeping his opponent in three straight. Contributing to the comeback, Tyson Mertz kept his season record unblemished with a convincing 3-0 win. And finally, Gideon Williams ‘27 and Ethan McQueeney ‘27 continued their improved play by shutting out their respective opponents to tie up the match. In exhibition play, Derek Waddell ‘27 played a thrilling match, eking out a victory with a 14-12 overtime win in the last game.
