Martlets Fall to Choate

The Martlets fell to a talented Choate team in today’s contest. Our offense struggled in the first half and we soon found ourselves facing a double digit deficit. Choate was also dominant on the boards and their physical play on offense led to several second chance opportunities and foul trouble for the Martlets. In the second half, we made an effort to be more competitive on both ends of the floor and rallied behind the strong play of Cole Hadden ’26 and Jeff Shao ’26. Their work in the post ended our scoring drought and with some renewed defensive intensity, led by Julien Kocatas ’26, Nick Ramsumair ’27 and Connor Gray ’26, we began cutting into Choate’s lead. Unfortunately, time expired before we were able to close the gap. We now turn our sights to a rematch with Canterbury next week and will look to work on our rebounding, offensive execution, and putting together two solid halves of basketball to achieve a better result than our first meeting. We look forward to this opportunity!
