Martlets Defeat Hopkins

This match was a long battle, lasting one and three quarters hours before all was finished. Since Westy had won the bottom three matches in three games, and number four in four games, the match was already decided when Mason Abbate ‘25 completed his comeback at #3, winning the last two games 11-9 and 11-7 against a very smart and gritty player - a lot like Abbate himself. Both boys kept making unlikely gets with long stretches and tenacious attitudes. It was a fun match to watch and brought the final score to 5-2, the first win for the Martlets against Hopkins.
