Martlets Knock Off K-O

This match was very exciting and close throughout. In the first round of matches Westminster was up at #6 with Kai Appleton ‘24 playing strong squash. KO had the #2 match under control and after losing the first game 8-11, Mason Abbate was cruising with two very quick games and up 8-5. At that point, the match was looking like a win, but KO had other intentions and their number 4 fought back and beat Abbate in five games. Westy won at #5 and #7 with Ben Swift ‘25 and Jason Hu ‘25 delivering wins. KO won at #3 and it came down to the number one match. Andrew Pang ‘24 pulled out a signature win. Fighting back from 0-1 and 1-2, Pang found himself down 1-5 in game 5. He won 10 of the next thirteen points to seal a very exciting 4-3 win. Coach Doucette was so happy that he took the boys to Birdcode in West Hartford for some spicy chicken for the ride home.
